[fn Market Watch] CNT Tech Invests in Nano Medical ‘SOFNT’



[Financial News] SOFNT Inc., a nanotechnology-based medical materials and medical product manufacturing company, announced on the 12th that it had attracted investment from investment specialist accelerator CNT Tech.


Soften holds numerous domestic and international patents based on the world's first absorbent nanofiber structure manufacturing source technology. It develops and distributes medical products such as antiviral and antibacterial medical materials, protective clothing, medical clothing, and patient clothing.


SOFNT operates the Viblotec brand, which produces and distributes medical protective gear and industrial protective gear with Class 6 Pass level virus protection, and the Atvlo brand, which develops and distributes performance-oriented and durable antibacterial medical clothing for medical professionals.



Han Seol-ah, CEO of SOFNT, said, “Infectious diseases such as SARS, Ebola, and COVID-19 are appearing periodically, and I decided to start a business because I thought that research and innovation in meditech is needed more than ever,” adding, “In the future, we will expand our product areas to include medical devices such as small-diameter artificial blood vessels and wettable wound dressings to become a global meditech company representing Korea.”


Meanwhile, CNT Tech executed a total of 9.13 billion won and 74 investments over the past year. With a total of 203 investments, it achieved the record for the most investments by a domestic accelerator.
